A newspaper is the last thing that you would need.  This works remarkably well in my Carlsbad window cleaning service.  You would use it after you squeegee your window.This will remove any residue caused by the cleaning agent and remove also the streaks caused by the squeegee. If you use this together with a squeegee you will love how your window comes out.
